May 2nd 2015 was always going to be a special day, firstly because it was Lindsay and Nick's rustic, pine forest Bilpin Resort wedding and secondly because I was super excited to create this botanical floral vision for them both. The day began and ended with an abundance of rain, but Lindsay and Nick persevered and didn't let the weather hold them back! We continued creating what was part of the ceremony design amongst the misty secret circle of pines with beautiful, natural arch constructed by Penny Lane Studio. Lindsay was not a rose and satin kind of bride, preferring to opt for expressive succulents that could be later planted in their beloved terrace garden. Her rustic sheaf bouquet with touches of vintage romance was designed to enhance her Grace Loves Lace wedding gown and with art deco fascinator in hair, Lindsay's look captured the very essence of a vintage beauty with free-spirited qualities. We chose to work with what was in season to enhance their personal theming with autumnal colours and foliages sourced by treasured local growers. The reception space was decked out with trailing and vibrant autumnal coloured foliages, cascading downwards from the ceiling, which guests could dance amongst. This was truly a dramatic and unforgettable wedding captured magically by Dean Snushall Photography.
